Does Finishing Fast Mean I’m Broken?
Does finishing fast mean you’re broken?
No. It almost never means that.
A lot of men hit the panic button the first time they finish in under a couple of minutes and start telling themselves something is seriously wrong. In reality, rapid ejaculation is one of the most common male sexual complaints. It’s a pattern, not a permanent defect.
What’s usually going on
Most of the time it’s a mix of:
- High sensitivity
- Habit (especially if you’ve spent years racing to the finish solo)
- Anxiety that speeds everything up
- Limited practice at recognizing the point of no return early
None of those equal “broken.”
What’s actually trainable
Awareness, pacing, and the ability to back off from the edge are skills. Skills improve with deliberate practice. Plenty of men who used to finish very quickly build solid control once they stop treating it like a medical failure and start treating it like training.
When to look further
If the change was sudden, extreme, and came with other symptoms (pain, major loss of erection quality, numbness, etc.), then yes, get it checked. But the ordinary version of finishing fast does not require that assumption.
Bottom line
You’re not broken. You’re dealing with a very common, usually trainable response pattern.
The sooner you drop the catastrophic story and start working the actual skills, the faster things tend to improve.
