The Double-Pause Drill: Lock In Control Under Pressure

Aug 25, 2026 ·

Single pauses are a good start.
Double pauses build real command.

When you can climb to the edge, back off, climb again, and still choose to stop a second time, you’re no longer hoping for control — you’re demonstrating it.

The Double-Pause Drill

  1. Stimulate to a solid 7.
  2. First pause: stop completely or drop intensity hard. Breathe. Wait until the urge falls to a clear 5.
  3. Resume and climb back to 7 again.
  4. Second pause: repeat the full stop. Hold longer this time — 30–45 seconds if you can.
  5. Only after the second clean pause do you decide whether to continue or finish.

That’s one full round.

Why the Second Pause Matters

The first pause is relatively easy.
The second one comes when your system is already primed and impatient. Forcing the second stop trains the exact moment most men fail in real sex — the “I already held once, now I can let go” urge.

Coaching Cues

  • Treat the second pause as the working set. That’s where the adaptation happens.
  • If you can’t complete the second pause cleanly, reduce the intensity of the climb or start the first pause earlier.
  • Keep the rest of your body quiet. No glute clenching, no breath holding.
  • Two to three full double-pause rounds is plenty for one session.
